The NEWS is in - Friday May 19 |
| The CW has announced their Fall schedules and unfortunately "The Bedford Diaries" was not on the list. Supernatural and One Tree Hill made the cut as well as Veronica Mars. Stay tuned for more news on this in the coming weeks. There is an outside chance that another network snags the show. Also re-runs will be on this summer.

Show's Fate - Sunday May 14 |
This coming week will hear about BD's fate. Although things look bad, you never know. The CW has already pulled a HUGE surprise with renewing 7th Heaven, so you NEVER know! Especially since their pilots for the fall look HORRIBLE. So fingers crossed and check back here on the 18th.

Season (Series) Finale - Tuesday May 9 |
Well it is that time folks. The Bedford Diaries Season (Series) Finale is upon us. It went by all too fast. This week's episode is TWO FULL HOURS!!! Actually it is two episodes, not one seemless one. I won't go into too many details because I don't want to spoil anything for this HUGE episode. But Richard is very depressed over Katrina and does something that gets in between Natalie and Owen. { Watch the Trailer }

This week & Ratings - Saturday Apr 29 |
| This week's episode is called "The Passion of the Beaver". "Passion" is the topic of the week in Macklin's class. Zoe doesn't think she is passionate until she lands the job as the school mascot. Richard uses his family's power to get Katrina access to some powerful city officials. Natalie takes on the fight of saving the school's health clinic, and Owen of course decides to help out. Sarah states that she is against the health clinic. Sounds like another great episode. As for the ratings from last week, the show did better than last week! We got a 1.4 which was #16 on the entire night.
|
This week - Wednesday Apr 26 |
| This week's episode is called "Love and the Tenth Planet". The class is asked to focus on the difference between Sex and Love. Owen spends all his time trying to dream up a date that will blow Natalie away. Lee gets addicted to online poker, and Sarah dumps the hot athlete when she realizes his true motives. And in a funny moment, Richard, Prof Macklin and Katrina all end up at the same concert. As for last week's ratings, (1.2/2) we were #16 which was about the same as last week. Still no word on the official schedule for the CW network for next season. Also keep in mind, even if the show isn't picked up again by the CW, other networks CAN buy the remaining episodes to air. And this has actually ben happening a lot lately.

Great Episode! - Thursday Apr 20 |
Tonight was another great episode. I hope everyone stops by the forums to share their thoughts. This show truly gets better with each episode. I am really loving the character development...very rich.
|
Ratings - Friday Apr 14 |
| The ratings for last episode were mediocre again. 1.3/2, #16 were the numbers. #16 on the night is about the same as last week. Next week's episode is called "Zen and the Art of Manipulation" and in it Richard starts to date an older woman, who is actually Professor Macklin's ex-wife. Meanwhile a patient at the psychiatric center where Owen and Natalie work has a crush on Owen which makes Nat see him in a whole new light. The topic of the week is "sex manipulation".
|
"Tell Me No Secrets" - This week - Monday Apr 10 |
In the third episode the class is told to think about the theme of "confidentiality" in the wake of Lee's personal life being on display in the school paper. Editor Richard claims Freedom of the Press (of course). Meanwhile Sarah starts to date a really hot athlete who is just using her to get funding for his team. | Watch the Trailer |

Ratings for Last Episode - Thursday Apr 6 |
| The second episode of the show brought in a 1.3/2 which was #17 on the entire night right behind One Tree Hill and Veronica Mars. These are NOT amazing numbers, but what do you expect when theWB refuses to advertise for the show!
Anyways, we have TONS of good members in our Bedford Diaries forums so check in and introduce yourself! It is a blast.

Spoilers Posted - Tuesday Apr 4 |
We have a good spoiler for episode 103 (NEXT week's episode). Sorry, but we don't have others yet! The WB is keeping their grubby little hands tight around them. More to come!
|
This week - Tuesday Apr 4 |
This week's episode looks really good. In the second episode ("The Truth about Sex") the class is told to think about the theme of "sexual responsibility". Lee's girlfriend breaks big news, while Owen sleeps with his sister's roommate. This leads Natalie to become jealous.

Ratings...Rocky start - Thursday Mar 30 |
| The show only brought in a 1.4/2 which was #18 on the night. NOT promising at all. Expect to see another few episodes and that is that. Sorry folks. It is not the show, it is the timing. The show is actually quite good. The writing is pretty crisp and believable and the characters seem tangible and with time I think they could really grow on people. But unfortunately the new network doesn't have much room on their slate for fall. Regardless, enjoy the time we have left with the show.

More Controversy - Tuesday Mar 28 |
| The FCC's threat to sue any WB station that airs the uncensored version of the pilot has stirred up some serious backlash. Ever since the Janet Jackson Superbowl incident last year the FCC has been on a "Sex Rampage" (and not the good kind). Apparently the have a problem with showing a girl's nipples in silhouette. That is just good 'ole fashioned American tv no? There is a reason it is called "The Boob Tube" right? Anyways, lets just hope this dustup between the WB and the FCC brings in a few extra million viewers.

It's finally here! - Tuesday Mar 28 |
| One day away! The pilot episode of "The Bedford Diaries" is upon us. In case you havn't watched the pilot online, then you are in for a treat! I recommend watching it on TV first! Full screen is MUCH better. After the episode we are having a forum discussion right here! It is a MUST, so show up and share your thoughts.

After you watch it. - Saturday Mar 25 |
After you finish watching the pilot come visit the forums and sign up!. It takes all of 15 seconds and I PROMISE you will have a good time discussing the episode and the cast. FORUMS ARE THIS WAY

AMAZING! - Saturday Mar 25 |
| Amazing news folks. You can NOW watch the PILOT episode online! And better yet, it is uncensored! Now, this isn't quite what you think it means. Basically, theWB was told that they HAD to cut some scenes from the first episode due to their "graphic nature" or else they were going to be fined by the FCC. I've seen the episode multiple times and there is nothing remotely "graphic" about it. But without further adieu, visit this site: WATCH THE PILOT!!! NOTE: This could also mark bad news for The Bedford Diaries. If theWB is letting people watch the pilot online for free, it could be a sign that they have "given up" on the show already, and just want to try out some new marketing. Who knows.

Premiere Pushed Back! - Friday Mar 17 |
| The premiere date has been pushed back folks. It is one week later on March 29th! In other news the full cast is obviously set and looks like this:

Victoria Cartagena as Zoe Lopez
Tiffany Dupont as Sarah Gregory
Ernest Waddell as Lee Hemingway
Matthew Modine as Jake Macklin
Milo Ventimiglia as Richard Thorne III

Show Reviews - Saturday Feb 18 |
| Despite a few bad early reviews, the show has been fairing quite well amongst the critics. It seems there was some re-writing of the scripts/characters. No word yet on whether the WB is serious about pushing the show due to the new CW network. Fingers crossed folks.
|
FRESH NEWS! - Thursday Feb 9 |
Finally with some updates. Sorry 'bout that. Okay, the premiere is set for March 22 and the show will be airing on Wednesdays at 9PM! Great time slot!
I have also found a trailer to watch below. You may have heard that the WB and UPN networks have decided to merge. What this means for TBD is that we need AMAZING ratings for the show to have a chance. It needs to catch on early and finish out the season strong. There is a LOT of competition for timeslots at the new network.
Also, the FORUMS are now LIVE! Go chat with other people about the show. And finally, please link to this site from your personal webpages and blogs

ROCKY! - Friday Dec 23 |
Breaking news! Milo Ventimiglia (the star of BD) has just been cast as Rocky's son in the new movie "Rocky Balboa". Congrats (as long as this doesn't interfere with his much more important Bedford work)!

Don't leave me hangin' - Friday Dec 23 |
Well we are in a few week deeper and STILL NO air date. I am starting to get worried. And if anyone has an inside scoop on a possible date then SEND IT IN! I've been doing my homework and can't find anything. It looks like they might sit on the show for another month or so. :( They are doing the same with the Rebecca Romain pilot "Pepper Dennis" as well (which looks surprisingly decent). Keep your computers dialed in here for more updates on the premiere.

Oz, Homicide, and Bedford? - Friday Dec 23 |
Tom Fontana is a great producer. He put together the frightening "Oz" and solid "Homicide" tv shows. I mention this of course because he is the executive producer of The Bedford Diaries. I think this fact highlights that this show will be VERY different from what people are used to on the WB.

Can you say 'Risky' Business? - Friday Dec 23 |
Wow. I just read a NY Times article that mentioned the show was already creating a lot of controversy due to its explicit sexual content. WOW! This is definitely new territory for the WB, a network which stated openly at the beginning of the year that things were going to change and the network was going to 'grow up'. Apparently that equals lots and lots of young, good looking people having sex. Part of the premise of the story of course is that this particular class of college students must keep a video diary of their sex lives. Well I just have to say that I am proud of the WB for stepping up and making good on their promise for some more 'risky' programming.

In the Dark - Friday Dec 23 |
At the point of my writing this entry, there is no official information on the series debut for The Bedford Diaries on the WB. I am hoping it will be on the mid-season schedule for January, but it could get pushed back as far as March (unless other shows get cancelled). Regardless, the idea behind this show really fascinates me and sounds like it will be very entertaining.
